🗺️ GIS Specialist (Geographic Information System)

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re hiring a GIS Specialist to join our team! No need to be an expert — if you have a basic understanding of GIS or mapping and are eager to learn, we’ll train you. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills in GIS and data analysis while working on actual projects.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Create maps and spatial reports
• Maintain and update GIS databases
• Analyze geographic data to support projects
• Work with teams to provide GIS support
• Automate workflows
• Collect field data using GPS
• Data Entry & Excel experience
• Basic Survey

REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 Education
• Ability to work as a team and alone when needed
• Interest in GIS, mapping, survey and data
• Computer skills
• Willingness to learn and grow in the role
• Good attention to detail and communication skills
• Open to taking on other tasks as needed
• Driver’s License

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT REQUIRED:

• Experience with remote sensing, LiDAR, or web mapping
• GISP certification or working toward it
• Basic drafting

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 80 hours bi-weekly

Compensation:
Wages dependent on experience. Wage range $27.19 – $31.99 per hour. Full benefits package available after eligibility.
